I had a dream that I was living in a 45 trailer that I had set up because gorillas kept attacking our trailer and we could hide in big bins under the trailer that had holes cut in them that we could shoot through and shoot all of the big mob of gorillas . Then the dream switched over into me being asleep, but I was pretending to be asleep. I was trying to get my husband to kill me by choking me because I had took too much of my medicine and he was going to find out that I relapsed. I didn't want him to find out.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, fears, and emotions, and can sometimes use vivid and surreal symbolism to convey messages. Here's a detailed interpretation of your dream:
Gorillas and Conflict: Gorillas in dreams may symbolize aggression, power struggles, or feelings of being overwhelmed. They could represent external pressures in your life or internal conflicts that you're trying to confront. The recurring attacks suggest a persistent challenge or problem that you're facing.
Trailer as a Home: Living in a trailer could symbolize a desire for simplicity or a sense of instability and impermanence in your current situation. If you're dealing with transitions or uncertainty, this could be manifesting as a trailer in the dream.
Hiding and Defending: The act of hiding in bins and shooting through holes suggests a defensive stance. It implies that while you're trying to protect yourself or your loved ones from these perceived threats, there's also a feeling of vulnerability. Hiding may indicate a tendency to retreat from problems or to shield your true emotions from others.
Pretending to Sleep: Pretending to be asleep while being conscious can symbolize denial or avoidance. It may reflect a part of you that is aware of certain issues but is unwilling or afraid to confront them directly.
Asking for Harm (Choking): This distressing imagery could symbolize feelings of guilt, self-punishment, or desperation. The act of asking someone else (specifically your husband) to harm you may reflect a fear of losing control over your own actions or life circumstances. It might indicate a cry for help or a desire for support in dealing with overwhelming feelings or situations.
Relapse and Fear of Discovery: The theme of relapse is significant. It suggests that there is a fear of failure or judgment, particularly from someone close like your husband. This part of the dream could be highlighting an internal struggle with addiction, guilt, or a fear of disappointing loved ones.
This dream seems to encapsulate a mix of external pressures and internal conflicts. The gorillas and trailer suggest a defensive posture toward challenges, while the second part reflects a more personal struggle involving guilt, fear of exposure, and a desire for support. It might be helpful to reflect on any current life situations that resonate with these themes. Working through these feelings with a trusted confidant or professional might help alleviate this subconscious turmoil.
